Hi Everyone, Hope you are keeping well and staying safe. Although the community Centre manager has not actually confirmed it yet, it is pretty obvious that it will not be possible for us to meet in the Fox Room at the Community Centre under the new tier 4 restrictions. Therefore our meetings will have to be run entirely on Zoom from the comfort of our own homes for the foreseeable future. Following our Committee meeting last Monday, here is the programme that was agreed for January and February 2021. Please note there is a date change for the guest speaker. This has been brought forward to 11th January and the “Product Photography” has been switched to 1st February.

Monday 4th January - Project Theme Evening The themes are; Decorations, Display, Fruit and an open theme of your choice. 8 images max, ideally 2 on each theme. Please email the images to me by 12 noon on Monday 4th January Monday

11th January - Guest Speaker Richard Sharman. A talk titled “Wildlife Photography – Giving You and Wildlife a Better Chance” He says that two of his greatest interests are Wildlife Photography and Rewilding - Giving Nature a Chance. He uses his photography to document his experiences and what can be achieved if Nature is given that chance. In his presentations he likes to incorporate his approach to wildlife photography, field and camera craft, birds in flight, but also some wildlife stories and species life cycles.

Monday 18th January - Photo Stacking - a talk by Alan Davidson Photo stacking is a very useful technique for increasing depth of field within an image. Beyond what would be possible with just the use of a small aperture on it’s own.
